It is celebrated in my town with a street parade with Dragons.... But not to the same scale as it is in China Town in the major cities.

HM is born in the year of the pig too!!! she says that peepol born in the pig year tend to lead easy, properous lives. i am born in the year of the chicken, i hope that means i will be a vegetarian.
